ABOUT US

DELIVERING AWESOME SINCE 1967

Time flies when you do what you love. We know because we’ve been making great pizza since 1967. Along the way, we’ve grown to more than 750 restaurants from coast to coast, becoming a trusted brand and leader in the foodservice industry. We’re proud of the quality food we make – and the difference we make in communities across Canada. We’ve made a lot of pies – and memories – over the years. Find out what goes into both!

ABOUT OUR FOOD

MADE RIGHT. MADE DELICIOUS. MADE ESPECIALLY FOR YOU.

The secret to our food? It’s pretty simple. Source fresh, quality ingredients. Prepare dishes with care and passion. Serve them with a warm smile. In other words, we take pride in what we make and how we share it. Even though we’ve grown a lot over the years, our mission is still the same:  Always the best food, made especially for you.

OUR QUALITY

CHICKEN

RAISED WITHOUT ANTIBIOTICS

Quality is our #1 ingredient. That’s why our Chicken Wings are made from chickens raised without antibiotics and fed an all vegetable-grain diet, with no animal by-products. Plus, our Bites are made with 100% chicken breast meat.

Due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic and heightened precautions at our suppliers, RWA wings cannot be guaranteed at all locations at this time. We apologize for this temporary inconvenience.
Raised Without Antibiotics FAQ:

What does it mean?

The animals have not received antibiotics from birth to harvest. That means that no antibiotic was administered to the mother, or to the animal in any manner. Drugs registered with CFIA as feed ingredients, veterinary biological products and vaccines are permitted to be used.

Why is RWA so important right now?

Reducing or eliminating the use of medically important antibiotics in animals will contribute to the reduction of bacteria that are resistant to drugs used to treat infections in humans.

What happens if the chicken gets sick?

The veterinarian is required to ensure understanding of the health issues and may find it necessary to use natural treatments such as yeast based products to treat the chickens. If the non-antibiotic treatments are ineffective, the veterinarian will make the decision to remove the chicken from the RWA program, and medicate as necessary. The chicken will then be used in conventional production.

What protocols do we have in place to monitor this program?

Veterinarian supported with annual third party audits used to monitor the RWA program at our supplier.

Is this part of your Animal Care program?

Antibiotics will remain an important part of any responsible animal care program so that we and suppliers monitor the care of chicken in all of our RWA programs and address health issues in a timely fashion.

OUR COMMITMENT
ANIMAL TREATMENT

Animal welfare is important to Pizza Pizza and all our Restaurant Owners, suppliers, and employees. We work with reputable Canadian suppliers and standards set by the Chicken Farmers of Canada (CFC) in conjunction with the National Farm Animal Care Council (NFACC).
